I ordered some pizza from Pegasus while visiting my mother. Neither of us liked it. The sausage has an odd flavor, and the crust has very little flavor at all. For me, it’s probably in the bottom 10% of all pizzeria pizza I’ve had, and the prices are close to the top 10% of all pizzas I’ve had. It was similar to some grocery store take-and-bake pizzas.
🌮🍕 Pegasus Pizza – Morton, IL 🍕🌮 Lived in Morton for 10 years and can’t believe I didn’t know Pegasus Pizza was tucked right in off Main Street! Tried one of their taco pizzas and it was excellent — loaded with flavor and fresh ingredients. This place is definitely going on my list for frequent visits!
We missed our pizza places after moving here. Finally something we enjoy. No seating, just carry out available. Thick and thin crusts are great.
They serve NY style pizza. I tried their cheese pizza. The crust was really good. It was semi crispy and also soft. The cheese was good quality. The sauce had a funky taste every few bites which I could not pinpoint what it was. Overall, good pizza and would try again.
The pizza was pretty good. Idk if it was worth the hype, but it was good. No frills pizza place, which I liked. The staff was nice and upbeat. They only deliver to a small area, so we had to do pickup. The crust was the best part of the pizza.
When my husband was a kid in the 80's there was a Pegasus Pizza in Lincoln that was his absolute favorite. We recently discovered that there is currently a Pegasus Pizza in Morton, same sign out front. We were excited to give it a try last night, and find out it's still the same recipe. We had a great experience and our pizza was awesome!!! If you're in the mood for pizza & cheese bread, head over to Pegasus Pizza!! You won't be disappointed!!
Review Date: February 9th, 2016 I had a coupon. My friend and I enjoy a good pizza. So off to Pegasus Pizza we go! Well, that was the idea at least. Pegasus pizza was a very hard place for my friend and I to find. I had assumed it was a normal restaurant, but it’s quite the opposite actually. It’s situated in a building the size of an Ice Cream Shack. So the only room inside is for customers to order. Not a bad thing, but my friend and I were ill-prepared for dealing with carry out only. So we placed an order and killed time by going to the gas station, getting some stuff there and debating where we would eat. We settled on his place as it was the closest place we could think of. We go back, grab our pizza from just about the friendliest pizza staff I have ever dealt with, headed back to his place and scarfed down some pizza. The pizza itself was pretty good. It didn’t floor me, but it didn’t disappoint. But my friend really enjoyed it. I think my problem is the type of sausage they use. There is a certain style that my taste buds just absolutely hate. Any ways, if you want some good ‘carry out/delivery’ pizza and are in Morton, give Pegasus Pizza a shot. I think they even have free delivery. Disclaimer: No Pegai were used in making any pizzas.
Just an old pizza kitchen that serves the best pizza in Morton and the surrounding area, no contest!!! Forget the others and order Pegasus. No this was NOT a paid or incentivized review. Myself and a couple coworkers look forward to every Wednesday late night at work so we can order pizzas for dinner!
